“Having taught primary, I feel comfortable with guided reading. However in the higher grades I now have students not on reading level that also need to pass the state test as well as have strategy groups.
How do I balance when I meet with them for guided reading, strategy groups and conferring as well as give them independent reading time to practice it all?”
